In the preview window, you can choose between Preview and Info tabs:

CADENAS ActiveX-Viewer not installed Please follow the instructions to install the viewer. If you do not need any preview, you can also use / download CAD data without installing the viewer software. Preview

As soon as a part is selected, a 3D preview will show up in the CAD model preview area (in case a 3D model is available.)

The following explains how to use the 3D view controls.

Shade mode

Fit
The 3D model's size is fitted to match the preview area's size.

7 views:
Front,Back,Left,Right,Top,Bottom,Isometric
Allows viewing angle selection.

Info

When a part is selected, its 2D drawing will be displayed in the Info area (in case a 2D drawing is available).
